Typical Storm Water Drainage Projects by Reid Crowther

Reid Crowther has undertaken many drainage projects, these include the following projects which are particularly relevant to the conditions found in Africa:

  • Satellite Town Flooding Control Project, Chevron Nigeria - Reid Crowther developed an innovative solution to the problems of flooding in the area of Satellite Town in Lagos. There had been 3 previous efforts to solve the problem using conventional thinking relying on electrical power. Reid Crowther was able to develop a solution which solved all of the flooding problems and did not need electrical power to operate.
  • Lagos State Government - Reid Crowther undertook this drainage project providing specialist advice on storm water pumping systems. Project involved installation of 200 kms. of sewage and storm drains. Project funded by the World Bank.
  • Festac Drainage System, Lagos - Reid Crowther investigated and developed solutions to the rehabilitation of the drainage system serving Festac New Town. The system had been allowed to deteriorate over time and Reid Crowther developed the necessary plan to refurbish and rehabilitate the existing facilities.
  • City of Larnaca Cyprus - Reid Crowther implemented pump stations for sanitary sewerage collection systems and stormwater systems. Project involved four major storm water pumping stations and thirteen sanitary sewage lift stations.
